Liposuction for Cellulite Reduction

One of the best ways to get rid of cellulite is liposuction. Exercise and diet will only get you so far. Cellulite treatments will reduce the appearance but you will need to continue to undergo the treatments to maintain the result you get.

Liposuction on the other hand is one of the easiest and best ways for cellulite reduction.

For those who don’t know cellulite reduction is, it is where a trained plastic surgeon inserts a tube under the skin and the fat is sucked out by a vacuum. This creates holes in the fat and these holes or tunnels collapse after surgery and the body has an improved contour.

There are many different types of liposuction techniques. If this plastic surgery interests you then you should talk to your local plastic surgeon. Be sure to check his or her background, and make sure that you are comfortable with them operating on them for you.

If liposuction isn’t your thing there may be a different cellulite treatment for you. Such treatments include cellulite cream or lotion, body wraps, massage and laser therapy. Cellulite cream is by far the most popular of these non-invasive treatments. However, unlike liposuction it will take you awhile to see the results of these treatments.

You will also need to undergo a diet and exercise program in combination with these cellulite treatments. This is the best way to lose cellulite and will make you look and feel so much better.

Plastic Surgery for Acne Scars

I had a friend with really bad acne scars. For years she was very self-consious of them and would heavy amounts of make-up to cover them up. She was in fact very pretty but because of the scars she made herself feel down about herself. And that showed in her relationships with men.

We sometimes think that plastic surgery is all about liposuction and boob jobs. We often forget that it can have a really worthwhile cause to help people who have physical scars.

Just like acne scars.

My friend went to see a well known plastic surgeon in our area about 12 months ago. She underwent laser treatment and the results have been fantastic. She is a new person and now has a new man in her life. I am so happy for her!

This to me is another reason why I think that plastic surgery isn’t a bad thing. It has some very good uses and results, just like me friend.

Why Plastic Surgery Gets a Bad Wrap

If you take a look in all the trashy magazines you will see story after story about whether celebrities have had cosmetic surgery or not. Aparrently some plastic surgery expert can tell from comparison photos done a year before or a ‘friend’ of the celebrity reveal some insider goss.

While it is all entertaining I find it fascinating people have this preoccupation with whether someone has had some work done or not. It is really fascinating. I’ve never been afraid to tell people that I have had some work done. To me, cosmetic surgery is just like getting a new pair of jeans or dress. It is designed to make yourself look better and feel better about yourself.

But, for some reason as soon as you mention plastic surgery everyone starts to talk with a whisper. I think it has something to do with the fact that people think that your vain if you have any work done. And yet it is these same people who are slaving away at the gym, putting on makeup or buying the latest fashion.

What is the difference?

None. Nilch. Nada. Which is why I chose to write this blog. Who cares if you have had some work done? Good on you, I say.

Hello and welcome to my Blog. My name is Melinda and this blog is about my interest in cosmetic surgery. Let me tell you a little about myself and why I’m writing this blog.

I’m 42 years old and have two children in their early teens (I’m no longer married). A few years ago I decided that I was unhappy with my appearance. The years of not eating right or exercising – basically not looking after myself. I decided to take action.

I started eating right, I started exercising right. And over the months my appearance began to change. I had my hair done, nails done and went to get taught how to put on makeup properly. I started to feel so much better about myself and my confidence improved dramatically.

Then one day I decided to get liposuction done. To be frank – I wanted something better. All that work at the gym had paid off to a point but I had hit a wall. At 42 years old if I wanted to look the way I did I need to get cosemetic surgery.

After my Los Angeles liposuction procedure I was amazed at how I looked. I was hooked. I didn’t want to go too overboard but I started to look into other plastic surgery procedures. Tummy tuck, eye lift, face lift, botox – I had them over a six month period.

And guess what? I looked good! And I acted like it.

And this is why I’m writing this blog. Ten years ago if someone said that I would get plastic surgery and liposuction done I would have laughed at them. I simply didn’t realise what it actually was.

So this blog is about opening to your eyes to something new. Don’t get me wrong, Plastic surgery is a cure for aging. Its an aid to helping you look your best. Like buying a new set of clothes. You still have to eat right and exercise (and I blog about that too) but you may be surprised at what you find.
